Siloa Creek Bluegrass Gospel Band This Thursday
At KHC Lemonade Concert
Well.............., if you are not busy (even if you are) this Thursday July
12, 2007 take a nice summer drive up to Mora, and join us as we, Siloa Creek
provide the music for Kanabec History Center's Free Lemonade Concert.
Refreshments start at 5:00 and the Music starts at 7:00 pm.
We are going to have a lot of Bluegrass Gospel. We have worked up some newer
arraignments with old church favorites and did something really cool with
Amazing Grace. Hope to see you there!!

Drawing Your Environment Art Class
The Kanabec History Center is offering a three day drawing class, Drawing
Your Environment July 17, 18 & 19 - 9 am. to 4 pm. Work will be done both
indoors and outside, exploring your environment from a broad perspective to
a particular viewpoint. This class is being taught by local artist Kathy
Hovland. The class is open to 6th grade to adult. The Kanabec History Center
is located at 805 West Forest Avenue in Mora. Call 320-679-1665 for fee and
registration information and a materials list.
Kanabec History Center Garden Tour
Saturday July 28, 2007
The Kanabec History Center and the Mora Town and Country Garden Club in
conjunction with the Kanabec Area Artists Association invite you to this
years' annual History Center Tour of Gardens and Brunch fundraiser on
Saturday July 28. The brunch will begin at 9 am. at the History Center and
will be served until 11 am., the gardens open at 10 am. This is a self
guided tour, maps and information packets are given out at the brunch. Until
that time the participating gardens are top secret. We can tell you that
there are five gardens on this year's tour.
Brunch will include a variety of coffee cakes, fruit, egg bake, juices and
other beverages. Besides the brunch activities for the day include a silent
auction of several garden related items, you can phone in your bids
throughout the day. The auction ends at 4 pm. There will be art
demonstrations and art for sale in the gardens along with a display of the
artists works at the History Center.
Tickets are available at the Kanabec History Center located at 805 West
Forest Avenue in Mora. You can call 320-679-1665 for ticket information.
Advance tickets are being sold at a discount so get your tickets before July
25, KHC members receive an additional discount!!
