  The Friends of The Grass Lake Church
  invite the public to attend a meeting on Saturday June 30 at 10 a.m.


  The meeting will be in Kanabec History Center conference room, to discuss 
the next step in the restoration of the Grass Lake Church. The group 
completed the re-roofing of the building this past fall. The next step is 
fixing the foundation of the Church. When the restoration is completed the 
building will be available for programs, weddings, services, family 
gatherings etc. through the Kanabec History Center.
  The group is also collecting photos memories etc. of the Grass Lake Church 
and the community of Grass Lake for the Kanabec History Center archives. The 
town of Grass Lake was one of the early communities in Kanabec County and 
had several businesses in its hey day. The Grass Lake Church is now the only 
remaining original building.
  So please join us on Sat. June 30 at the Kanabec History Center located on 
805 West Forest Avenue in Mora, and help us preserve a part of our history
