Dear Chamber Members,
For anyone interested in participating &/or helping on Mora's 125 Birthday Celebration, we need many hands! The next meeting is tomorrow, Tues. March 20, at 2:30 at the History Center. Please come!
The more volunteers we have to help, the better everything will go. Tentative Schedule below:
MORA 125TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
Schedule of Events:
Friday May 18, 2007
6:pm - Fairgrounds - Old Tractor and Old Car Show on grounds
Old Time Photography in Civic Center
8:00 - 12:00 midnight - Free Dance in the Civic Center featuring the band, High Noon.
Beer Garden and Food available for purchase through Buzzano's
Saturday May 19, 2007
8am to 11am - Firemen's Pancake Breakfast at the Fire Hall
11am, 1:15, 3:30 - Scheers Lumberjack Show, "Olympics of the Forest" on Union Street
*The Cloggers, Beard/handlebar moustache Growing Contest Awards, pie eating contest presented in-between shows
* Grocery store tents with food, sales, tractor show moved to parking lots of businesses along Hwy. 65
*Car show moved to Lennie's, Tractors moved to parking lots along 65
*Art Association art show/sale in Library Park all day Saturday with snacky food, pop, music
*Businesses in downtown area having sidewalk sales
*Pig roast and street dance put on by The Crystal
* Fireworks over Lake Mora after dusk
*Horse and Carriage Rides around to event areas from the Civic Center - circular?
*The History Center will have sawing demos, pottery demonstrations and sales, flea market, plant sales and their museum will be open all weekend
