Would you please issue a thank you for from Kanabec Hospital to all the members of the community who assisted with our pandemic flu emergency preparedness drill on August 20, 2007.  Over 30 community members responded.

We could not have the tested the system without their help.  We were able to learn what worked and what we can do better.  Our basic goal was to do a quick assessment of persons presenting during a statewide emergency for pandemic flu, to determine where they should receive care for their specific needs.  Because the healthcare system would be overburdened, it will be necessary to triage (sort) persons specific to what care they need.

We especially appreciated their evaluations and have used them in our in our assessment of the drill.

Thanks, again, to members of the community and to you for putting the message forward.
