Keith sent this message today and I'm hoping we can help him out. With our wonderful chamber network, would any of you be able to help out a fellow chamber member as he assists the local youth? Please read on and let me know if you can - or if you know of someone he can contact for the equipment he needs.
Thank you in advance.
Karen.

Subject: Searching for equipment

Hello again -

The local youth center is remodeling and 'reinventing' their facilities, and I'm trying to help them out with all the details. I've been sending lots of my older gear their way, and spending a good deal of time getting their things set up. So far things are coming along quite nicely.

Only trouble is, there are still a few things that I've yet to find. I'm hoping that perhaps you'd be able to point me towards some people that could help us out...

The first thing is signs. They would like to get a bunch of old, odd, left-over, or un-needed signs that they can hang on their walls for decoration, particularly lighted ones. It doesn't much matter what they were from (aside from the obvious, i.e. no beer or tobacco ads), or how out-of-date they may be.

I'm sure there must be businesses around that have old signage in their basements, sheds, etc. that they'd be willing to part with (either for free, for what little money the center could offer, or for a tax write-off). I've already contacted Kevin Troupe; he didn't have any, but was going to keep his eyes open. Aside from that I've had no luck whatsoever.

The other thing is food/beverage equipment. They plan to set up a concession counter, and are on the lookout for an old soda dispenser, slushie machine, display/warmer, or whatever might be hiding in the back of a local restaurant/cafe/grill. It need not be in great shape, as long as there's enough of it present for me to make an identification and obtain the service docs.

If you know of anyone who might be able to help find these things, please let me know. Thanks!
