Photography can be a fun, invigorating and enlightening way to capture and share the world we see and experience. The advent of digital camera has made photography so much more accessible and at the same time, more confusing. These workshops are designed to explain photography in understandable terms in a fun setting. Once we understand how cameras work, we will work to develop an "eye" for photography and creative artistic expression through the medium or photography and creative artistic expression through the medium of photography. Sign up for any workshop or a combination of workshops. Call the Kanabec History Center 320-679-1665 for fee information and to register. For all classes bring your camera and manual.
Understanding The Camera Monday March 31 (7 to 9:30 pm.): Learn how the camera works, the difference between SLR and point and shoot cameras and digital and film cameras. Time will be spent negotiating the menus and options of digital cameras. Since each camera has different programing, it is ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL THAT EACH PERSON BRING THEIR CAMERA AND MANUAL TO THE CLASS. Open to all levels, both digital and film cameras. Opening the Photographer's "Eye" Monday April 7 (7 to 9 pm.): Learn what makes a pleasing photograph rather than just a snapshot.
