Mora HIgh Schools Drama and Music Department's annual spring production of
"Man of LaMancha" will premiere Thursday, April 2 and run Thursday, Friday
and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in the Mora High School Auditorium.  Man of La
Mancha is a musical from a book by Dale Wasserman, lyrics by Joe Darion
and music by Mitch Leigh.  It tells the story of the "mad" knight, Don
Quixote, as a play within a play performed by Cervantes and his fellow
prisoners as he awaits a hearing with the Spanish Inquistion.  The
original Broadway production has become one of the most enduring works of
musical theater, especially with the opening number, "To Dream The
Impossible Dream".  

Seniors Sam Johnson as Don Quixote and Justin Humphrey as Sancho Panza
lead the cast of 34 characters who remain on stage for the entire time.  
The stage is set with a spectacular Spanish prison setting designed by
Eric Carlisle and a host of others on the production staff including
director Gary Hirsch, choreographer Deb Bursell, music director Steven
Mick, orchestra conductor, Linda Parson and costumes by Jackie Stevens.  
Bring your family for a evening of music and theatrics. Tickets are $5 for
adults and $4 for students at the door.
