                 Call to Action

As we have reached a critical point in EFCA legislation, there are two items we need to bring to your attention at this time.

First, please read the following article, "Union Leaders: Obama still firm on organizing bill" as published by the Houston Chronicle. The article shows President Obama's commitment to moving the bill this year.
                  http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/business/6527518.html

Second, please take action and communicate directly with Senator Franken. Visit the coalition's website to contact his office today! Senator Franken needs to be aware of the nature of the opposition to card check.

                  1. Go to www.mnbusinessleaders.com.

                  2. Click on "Take Action Now!"

                  3. Send Sen. Franken a message urging him to reconsider his stance of EFCA.

We also encourage you to participate in one of the Senator's upcoming listening sessions happening around the state. This is your chance to share your perspective on card check with members of Franken's staff. Be sure to invite any of your engaged members to attend as well.

ST. PAUL, Minn. - U.S. Sen. Al Franken doesn't have a permanent state office yet, but he's sending his staff on a listening tour across Minnesota to hear from constituents.

Starting Tuesday, Franken staffers will hold listening sessions at city halls and other public buildings in Northfield, Rochester and Twin Cities suburbs including Rogers, Eagan and Lakeville.

Franken's staff plans 66 such meetings during the next three weeks.

Franken was sworn in as Minnesota's junior senator a week ago.

He says he wants to hear what Minnesotans want him to do for them in Washington.
