*Upcoming Events at the Kanabec History Center*

Mark your calendars, the Kanabec History Center has many events coming 
up in November.
November 2: David Waid is offering an introductory self-defense class 
from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. for adults. Various non-violent self-defense 
tactics will be demonstrated and practiced. If there is enough interest 
this could become a series of classes. The introductory class will 
repeat again on Sat. Nov. 6, 1 to 3 p.m.

Sunday November 7 at 3 p.m. "Abraham Lincoln and the Gettysburg 
Address," speaker/actor Dale Blanshan dressed as Lincoln will take you 
through his presidency with the help of period documents and photos.

Saturday November 13 Holiday Preview 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Christmas 
merchandise and gift items for sale in the History Center Gift Shop and 
Antique Nook. Also clearance items up to 50% off, plus Swedish cookies 
and lingonberry tasting.

Friday November 19, 5 to 9 p.m. and Saturday November 20, 9 a.m. to 5:00 
p.m. Morris Pottery sale. Come view the latest pottery designs by local 
artists Paul and Denise Morris. Stay for a concert by Charlie Roth at 
4:30 p.m.

Saturday November 20 Jam and Game Night. 7 to 10 p.m. come join your 
friends for an evening of music by local artists, everyone welcome, come 
jam and meet area musicians or come listen and have a cup coffee. Board 
games available or bring your own.

All of the events are free and open to the public. The Kanabec History
