Everyone is Invited to the Eighth Annual Sticks and Stones 3 Day Arts
and Cultural Festival
The Sticks and Stones Art & Cultural Festival invites everyone to join
them for the festival kick off Friday evening Sept. 24, 2010 with a
"Festival Appreciation" gathering honoring everyone who has helped make
the celebration possible with their time and donations. The public is
invited to come for food, music and bonfire 6 to 9 p.m. On the menu is
soup provided by the Down Town Deli and The Bread and Honey Pantry with
a variety breads donated by The Little Bread Factory and Ullie' Old
World Bakery. Local band, Nobody's Weddin' will entertain from 7 to 9
p.m. Area musicians are invited to sit in for a jam session around the
fire. So come and join the fun, get up and dance, sign or just sit back
and enjoy the sights and sounds.
The Kanabec History Center will be open that evening for extended hours
with exhibits, gift shop and antique nook open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Admission to exhibits is free throughout the Sticks and Stones Festival.
Also during the Festival the History Center is turning it's conference
into a cafe serving up coffee, tea, lattes, bars, bread pudding, root
beer floats, along with musical entertainment. The History Center Cafe
will be open Friday Evening Sept. 24.
The Festival continues Sat. Sept. 25 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sun. Sept.
26 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with Monroe Crossing Closing out the Festival
under the big music tent in a FREE concert from 2 to 4 p.m.
There's a lot to do, see, hear and eat at this great FREE Art and
Cultural community get together. Don't miss out, mark your calendar now,
its our biggest event of year . The Kanabec History Center is located at
