Kanabec County Public Health is hosting a Psychological First Aid 
Training on Thursday, April 21, 2011 from 4:00 pm -- 8:00 pm.

Psychological First Aid introduces potential disaster volunteers and 
members of other local agencies interested in supporting the community's 
actions in preparing for, responding to and recovering from emergencies 
and disasters. The course will enable individual volunteers recognize 
the signs of stress in clients, co-workers and themselves and apply 
immediate support to people who may be experiencing stress. Participants 
will also learn how to obtain additional mental health support for 
themselves, co-workers and clients.

If you would like to attend, you must RSVP by Friday April 15.  RSVP by 
calling or emailing me using the contact information below.  We must 
have at least 10 people registered in order to hold the class.
