Below is the monthly newsletter from the MN Home Ownership Center. After
the 2010 foreclosure numbers we saw a couple weeks back, the article
below about more than 50% of counseling recipients avoided foreclosure
in 2010 offers some hope, if people seek counseling early.
We continue to promote FREE foreclosure counseling available in our
region through the MN Home Ownership Center & LSS. Their website is:

The Minnesota Home Ownership Center has released its "*2010 Foreclosure
Counseling Program Report*" that shows that over */12,000 /*homeowners
sought the foreclosure avoidance services of the Homeownership Advisors
Network in 2010 and */more than half were able to avoid the foreclosure

The report also provides a glimpse into the personal, mortgage &
financial struggles of homeowners who sought help from mortgage counselors.
