Hello Everyone!

First of all, Happy New Year and Thank You for being the members of this 
great busy organization!

I'd like to let you know of some things as well as to ask some things of 
you.

I would like to put out the final offer for banners along Union Street 
for the Vasaloppet Finish Line. I am ready to send in designs for: 
Glen's Tires & First Light Health System. I do have requests from CMC, 
Northpost, & Peoples National Bank but I need your artwork. Please 
contact me right away if you are interested as the banner order will go 
out by the end of this week. The cost is $85.00 for a full 4 color 
process, 3' x 8' banner and I would love to have all of your businesses 
showcased along the street as folks finish the races. The size that you 
have to work within the border is about 2' x 7' so please send your 
layout accordingly - or in pieces and I can lay it out for you.

Our murder mystery, "Death by Hotdish" is coming up on February 19th. We 
have tickets available for $35.00 each. There's a meal choice of Stuffed 
Pork Tenderloin or Chicken Kiev. Please give me a call or email me with 
your reservations. Tables seat 8 (or up to 10 if you like to be close!) 
We recommend that you come in some part of a costume - ladies are 
requested to wear extremely extravagant hats and men to wear their ice 
fishing (or fishing) duds. Reverse the roles if you wish - that's just 
fine with us!!
I am making a final call to you for Hot Dish (or casserole) dishes for 
our recipe book. These can be appetizers, main courses, salads, or 
desserts. I have 46 recipes so far, I would love another 30! Also, would 
any of you be able to donate an item or 2 for our silent auction? The 
items can be anything of course, but our theme is well, hot dish & 
cooking as well as ice fishing - or fishing of any sort. We'll take 
anything from boats to soap!

We'd like to do a "Polar Plunge" into Lake Mora for the 2012 Vasaloppet 
(the 40th Anniversary). We are also considering some other events like 
"Spark Races", "Sausage Races", a beer garden, and others fun things for 
the weekend. If any of you have any expertise or would like to help out 
- would you please let me know? The "Polar Plunge" would be a Chamber 
Fundraiser and we are also looking into ReMax's Hot Air Balloon or 2 for 
the weekend - also a possible fundraiser.

We're changing the look of our Chamber Cash. By April 1st, all current 
Chamber Cash will be obsolete. Please keep this in mind as you should 
not accept any chamber cash that looks like the current chamber cash 
after March 31st.

Remember, the East Central Home, Business and Community Expo will take 
place on April 15 & 16. Booths are filling up and we'd love to have you 
there ~

By the looks of things, 2011 is going to be an eventful year! I'm 
looking forward to working with you all as we steam ahead!
