*SUNDAY APRIL 3 at 3 PM*
Direct from its screening at the Swedish American Institute in Minneapolis!
A film about Scandinavian American humor? You betcha! On Sunday April 3,
award-winning Swedish filmmaker Stefan Quinth and former ASI staff
member William Beyer screen ”Pretty Much 100% Scandinavian: Saga
2,”another light-hearted film about contemporary Danish, Finnish,
Icelandic, Norwegian, and Swedish America.
Neighborhood jokesters, master storytellers, immigrant vaudevillians
such as “Olle i Skratthult” and the Olsen Sisters, and contemporary
performers such as Merrilyn Belgum, Art Bjorngjeld, LeRoy Larson, and
Kip Peltoniemi ― all set to tickling Scandinavian American funny-bones.
Quinth has been making films worldwide since 1976. Beyer retired in 2009
after five years as ASIʼs Director of Museum Education, Collections, and
Programs.
