*Swedish Folk Music Group to Perform at the Kanabec History Center*

The Mora Public Library and The Kanabec History Center present "More 
Than Nikolina" on Sunday March 18, 3 PM in the Kanabec History Center 
conference room. Swedish folk music and dance will be performed by the 
Twin Cities Area Nyckelharpalag. The nyckelharpa is a traditional 
Swedish instrument that has been played, in one form or another as it 
evolved, for more than 600 years. At least four different versions of 
the nyckelharpa are still played today.  In Swedish, "nyckel" means key, 
and "harpa" refers to the strings. Sometime people call the nyckelharpa 
the Swedish key-fiddle.
Come hear for yourself the beautiful sounds of this tradional Swedish 
instrument. Come early, seating is limited to 80, with some standing room.

This program in the second in the "Mora History Speakers Series 2". The 
upcoming programs are: Sun. April 15 @ 3 PM Beginners Genealogy Class 
led by Stephen Barthel in the Kanabec History Center Conference Room, 
Sun. May 20 @ 3 PM Living History Society of MN Mid 19th Century Fashion 
Show at the Mora Public Library, Sun. June 24 @ 3 PM Barbary Coast Dixie 
Land Band at the Mora Public Library.
