Please pass this along to your neighbors, family and friends - we would

Broadband throughout all of Kanabec County by 2015.
Thank you.

Good afternoon:
As you already know, Kanabec County was chosen as one of nine
communities by the Blandin Foundation as a Blandin Broadband Community.
The Blandin Broadband Communities Program (BBCP) is a two year program
designed to provide planning and organizing support to rural Minnesota
communities that demonstrate readiness and resources to either bring
robust broadband adoption to communities without it, or assist already
connected communities to make the best use of information and services
broadband can deliver.
*Communities and organizations within Kanabec County are eligible
to apply for up to a total of $100,000 in grant funds for projects that
fit program criteria over the next year*. *In order to kick this program
off, the Kanabec Broadband Initiative (KBI) will be hosting a community
meeting on **Thursday March 7th, 2013 from 1:00pm to 4:30pm at
the Eastwood Senior Living Community Center at 170 Valhalla Circle in
Mora.*This meeting will be an opportunity for community leaders and
residents to learn about the program, help assess our community's
strengths and gaps as it pertains to broadband, and begin to identify
projects that may be eligible for financial support through the program.
We hope to stimulate ideas for projects as well as discuss potential
projects already in the formulation stage.
This meeting will also be an opportunity to hear about details of the
Kanabec Broadband Initiative Broadband Feasibility Study completed this
past October. Members of U-reka Broadband Ventures will be present to
provide a summary of the study they prepared for KBI and answer any
questions you may have about it.
Please consider attending the March 7th meeting if you're able!!
