A message to you all from Sandy Juettner, Chamber Board Member, SACK
Coalition member and owner of Juettner Marketing ~

Hi Karen, Please forward to Chamber Members. Thanks, Sandy

Hi Everyone,
I spoke briefly at our Chamber Board meeting last week about SACK, the
Substance Abuse Coalition of Kanabec County. SACK provides innovative
programs and services that help keep Kanabec County residents strong and
resilient against alcohol, tobacco and other drugs (ATOD). The purpose
of the coalition is to promote safe and healthy choices and respond to
problems caused by alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs, among all
community members.

The coalition consists of members from 14 community sectors such as
Healthcare, Parents, Law Enforcement, the Business Community, etc. With
a strong focus on prevention, coalition members promote abstinence from
illegal drugs and appropriate, responsible use of legal substances.

SACK could use your-

  * leadership and respected influence to promote healthy communities
  * business expertise, consultation, and promotion of SACK activities
  * ability to connect with employees and empower them to make healthy
    choices
  * knowledge of at-risk behavior and patterns of substance abuse

Some of the benefits for the business community to be involved are that
SACK offers an opportunity for you to equip yourself with additional
tools that will help provide a healthy and safe environment for your
customers and employees, provides access to prevention education and
resources that are proven to reduce tardiness and absenteeism among
employees, and an opportunity to network with other members while making
a positive contribution to our community. In addition the coalition
offers presentations and training that help us to achieve our goals.

*Please join us on Tuesday morning, September 10, 2013* at our monthly
Coalition meeting to be held in the Kanabec County Jail Training Room
from 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM for a valuable presentation on using social
media to promote your message.

*SOCIAL MEDIA 101 *
An excellent learning opportunity! We have asked our media consultant,
Tunheim, to present an introduction to social media focused on Facebook
and YouTube. Tunheim will provide helpful tips for how to create a
presence for yourself/organization on social channels, from creating a
profile to identifying/developing and posting compelling content, to how
to build and interact with your network.

*We are extending this invitation to Chamber members* as it is an
excellent tool for your business as well as a great opportunity for you
to learn more about our coalition. The Social Media training will last
about and hour. All that we ask in return is that you stay for the
entire meeting.

An RSVP is not required but would be helpful. If you have questions or
already know that you would like to join the Coalition, please contact
any one of us listed below:

Kate Mestnik, 320-679-6317

Thank you for your time and consideration. We look forward to seeing you!
