Stacy Thoeny has a message to share about farming, rural America, and 
raising healthy and nutritious

  She'll share that message and her story at our April 28th meeting.

Her presentation, /*"Farming Today"*/ will cover:

  * How today's farming practices are helping farmers raise better food
    while improving animal care and protecting the environment.
  * How farmers contribute to the local economy, and how they've become
    leaders in the global food marketplace.
  * How farming continues to evolve by using science and technology to
    do more with less land, energy, and water.

Stacy and her husband Kevin went into partnership with Kevin's parents 
(Don and Debra Thoeny) in 2006.  The family takes a pro-active approach 
to agricultural education and has hosted /"Breakfast on the Farm"/ for 
two years.  Stacy is involved in many organizations including the 
Kanabec/ Isanti Farm Bureau, the county Farm Service Agency County 
Committee, 4-H, and American Farm Bureau's PAL (Partners in Agricultural 
Leadership).

Please join us Monday, April 28th for this special Spotlight on the 
Community program.
