A hearty HELLO to all of our longtime friends and supporters...
MP900448482[1]

As many of you may know, this *_Thursday, November 13^th _*, is
#GiveToTheMax Day in Minnesota.

If you're unfamiliar with it, here's a link that will help explain:
https://givemn.org/

*What is Give To The Max Day?*

It's a chance for non-profit organizations to bring updated information
to the public about all of the great work they do throughout the year.
Sometimes their work goes unrecognized and many times it's unrewarded.
Of course, these non-profit organizations are not in it for the money
--- they are in it for the people they serve. It's quite gratifying
just to know you've been able to help someone, whether by helping them
with a small issue, or over one of life's major hurdles. Personal
satisfaction is at the core of the work done by non-profits and the
people they serve - knowing that you were there when someone needed you
and that you were able to help is the mission for most all non-profits.

The Seven County Senior Federation is one of those organizations. We've
been in operation for over 40 years in east-central Minnesota serving
senior citizens of the region. It may have been through free income tax
preparation, or Senior Defensive Driving classes, or free
Medicare/Social Security counseling, or with fuel assistance, or free
household goods for families in crisis, or any of a dozen other services
provided over the years. In addition we are a strong voice for senior
citizens both in St. Paul and in Washington DC on issues of concern to
them.

Yes, the point of this note is to ask for your personal support of our
services that we currently provide to senior citizens... but there's
more. Our goal is to add a few much needed, and frequently requested,
senior services within the next year: _in-home chore services_, _grocery
shopping_, and _companion care_.

In order to get these services off and running we really need public
support, and that's where you come in. MAYBE, you've had a friend that
benefited from one of our free service offerings, or maybe it's you, or
maybe it's a parent, grandparent or great grandparent that's been on the
receiving end of one of our helpful services. If so, we're asking for
you to please consider making a donation to our cause. This is the only
time of the year (one time!) that we ask for direct public support. The
rest of the year we do our own fundraising through working at food
stands, or silent auctions, or raffles, as well as by offering yearly
membership in the Seven County Senior Federation ($15 per year for a
single membership).

/There's a number of ways you can contribute to our cause: /

·*You can go to our website and click the **GiveMN.org**button on the
front page of **http://www.7countyseniors.com/***

·*You can click this link **http://bit.ly/1zKh9Bd** which takes you to
the _Give To The Max_ page for Seven County (an easily navigated
donation page)*

·*You can call us and make a donation via Debit or Credit Card
(866-679-4700 toll-free)*

·*You can mail a check to: Seven County - 47 Park St. N. (Ste. 7)
- Mora, MN 55051*

Please consider making a donation to the cause of seniors citizens in
the region by using one of the above outlined methods. Remember, it's
the only time of year we will (bug you) make this request so your
support is much needed and appreciated.

*/UPDATE OF NOTE:/*//

As of this writing _we have received a pledge of up to $500 to match
dollar-for-dollar_ with all donations received during *Give To The Max
Day on Thursday, Nov. 13^th .* This gracious gift will double your
contribution. AND... if anyone else cares to offer a similar matching
grant donation we will post it immediately so as to help make your
decision, and everyone else's, easier.

Let me offer a heartfelt "Thank You" in advance for your support...

We know that there are dozens of very worthy causes out there for you to
support... /we hope that we prove to be one of yours this year./
