> Vasaloppet week is here and we have lots of news and updates for you. Despite the lack of snow this year, the Vasaloppet USA races this Saturday are still a “go” plus we have lots of fun events throughout the weekend. Here is what we have planned.
>  
> Lake Mora course – Due to the lack of snow, the races have been shortened and moved to Lake Mora, which is right here in our friendly town. The course consists of a 3.4k loop around the perimeter of the lake. The starting times and distances for each race are:

> SATURDAY FEBRUARY 7th RACE SCHEDULE
> 
> 42k Classic	9:00 a.m.	4 laps/13.6k
> 58k	10:00 a.m.	5 laps/17k
> 35k	11:00 a.m.	3 laps/10.2k
> 13k/TeamLoppet	12:00 Noon	2 laps/6.8k  
> Due to the unique circumstances of a shortened race course, this year we are offering skiers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to participate in more than one Vasaloppet USA race. Introducing, the Lake Mora Double Vasa, and the Lake Mora Triple Vasa.

> Lake Mora Double Vasa – Once you register for your primary race, you can add a second race for $25.00. Valid only for the 58k, 42k classic, and 35k.
>  
> Lake Mora Triple Vasa – Once you register for your primary race, you can add two additional races for $40.00. Valid only for the 58k, 42k Classic, and 35k.
>  
> How it works.
> You must register for either the 42k Classic, 58k, or 35k as your “primary” race. Your primary race is the one in which you may compete to earn a Dala Horse class award. Once registered for your primary race, then you may register for a second race (Lake Mora Double Vasa), and a third race (Lake Mora Triple Vasa) as you desire. Participants in the second and third races will earn their completion medals for those races, but will not be able to earn a Dala Horse class award for the additional races.

> How to register for the Lake Mora Double Vasa and Triple Vasa
> Register for your primary race (58k, 42k, or 35k) either online, fax 320-679-4840, or in person.
> Contact the Vasaloppet office to let us know which additional race you want to add to your registration. You may contact us by phone at 320-679-2629 or 800-368-6672 or stop by in person.
> To add one additional race to participate in the Double Vasa, the registration cost is $25.00. To add two additional race registrations for the Triple Vasa, the cost is $40.00
> 13k and TeamLoppet races are not valid for the Double and Triple Vasa.
> Once you have registered for the Mora Lake Double Vasa, or Triple Vasa, you will receive specific instructions for what to do on race day.

> MUST REGISTER FOR ALL RACES BY NO LATER THAN 9PM FRIDAY. NO RACE DAY REGISTRATIONS.

> CELEBRATION TENT
> There are lots of activities happening in the Celebration Tent in downtown Mora.
> Thursday – 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm A celebration for community, free to all, with the Harry Kent band.
> Friday – 7:00 pm Friendship Tour,  social in the park, then walk to the tent.
> Friday – 8:00 to Midnight The Vasaloppet Party featuring “The Killer Hayseeds” band. Free to all. Food for purchase and cash bar.
> Saturday – 11:00 am – 2pm Skiers’ lunch after completing their race. Your bib is your ticket for lunch. Food for purchase for non-skiers.
> Saturday - 1:00 pm Awards Ceremony
> Sunday - 11 am - 1:30 Skijoring registration
> 
> 
>  
> SUNDAY FAMILY DAY
> 10:30 am – noon  Spark races on Lake Mora
> Noon – Miniloppet on Lake Mora. Registration is in the Library basement. 
> 2 pm – Skijoring on Lake Mora
> 11 am – 3pm Celebration Tent open, food and beverages available for purchase
