Highway 169 lane closures between Zimmerman, Long Siding
begin July 8<br>

CLOUD, Minn. – Motorists travelling both directions of
Highway 169 between Zimmerman and Long Siding may encounter
daytime delays as segments of the road are reduced to a
single lane beginning July 8.</span><b><span
style="font-size:14.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif""><o:p></o:p></span></b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span
style="font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">The
closures will occur from sunrise to sunset through
mid-October.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span
style="font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">No
closures will occur on northbound Highway 169 from 10 a.m.
Fridays to 5 p.m. Saturdays, nor on southbound Highway 169
from 11 a.m. Saturdays through 10 p.m. Sundays.
<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span
style="font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">A
reduced posted speed limit of 55 m.p.h. will be enforceable
through each day’s work zone. Motorists should slow down and
watch for slow-moving traffic, workers and equipment as they
approach and navigate the daily work zones. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span
style="font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">The
closures are needed as crews resurface the road, construct
or extend six turn lanes, close six crossovers and install
or repair guardrail and underground pipes.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span
style="font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">When
complete, the project will result in a smoother ride and
improve safety, mobility and drainage along 16 miles of
Highway 169.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
