size="4">The Kanabec History Center is looking for a new
teacher for this coming Old Tyme
Country School program. This is a paid position, payment,
based on experience, covers the 3 weeks of classes and some
prep time. Qualified candidates will have had teaching
experience (teaching lic. not necessary), enjoy working with
children
and creating an era appropriate curriculum. The main purpose
of the
program for the students is a living history experience and of
course
to have fun. </font></p>
<p style="line-height: 100%" align="justify"><font color="#000000"
size="4"> A
total of 89 students attended last seasons 3 one-week sessions
of Old
Tyme Country School. The sessions take place on the Kanabec
History
Center grounds in the one room Whittier School House usually
in July and early August. Each one week
session of country school has students first grade through
eighth
grade. The Old Tyme Country School teacher leads the children
in
lessons and games from the early 1900’s. Students come to
class
dressed in costumes and bring a lunch bucket or basket. On
each
Friday family and friends are invited to a student program
followed by an ice
cream social and lemonade. Students bring cookies to share
during the
ice cream social.</font></p>

settings that will give the correct exposure in most
situations. However, there are situations when one wants
to override the automatic settings and control the
shutter speed and aperture or create special effects. We
will review the features that distinguish SLR from film
cameras and how to set and use those features. We will
also discuss aperture and shutter speeds and other
factors like ISO that affect getting a more correctly
exposed image. Appropriate for SLR camera owners or
point and shoot cameras that have the capability of
