Dear Chamber Members,

I'm so excited to let you in on a little secret - something I've
been working on for a while now - and it's finally time to let you
in on it! I'm chair dancing!

Thanks to some wonderful folks here in the community -
Lonnie Ness and Jack L'Heureux in particular - it's
finally come to fruition. We'll be starting up the highway 65
banner project! The stars have aligned, the moons have converged,
and we all have a great opportunity to gain from it.

This is an overview that I'd like for you to take a look at.
You'll note the attached photos/designs, please open and see.
There's a photoshopped design of the highway with all the banners
and flags in place, a design of the Vasaloppet banner (community
banner), a blue and white rider that will display vertically
(business banner), and a design of a city banner with shop locally
and downtown pointer.

Our local businesses will be able to passively advertise your
business along the 65 corridor in Mora for a very low cost. Also,
your banner will certainly be a part of a beautiful and lively
look for our community.

The Chamber has the opportunity to sell these banners to you for
$200.00 each with a $50.00 annual upkeep fee (in case it needs to
be replaced along the way). These banners will be up constantly
for 3 years. The banner size is 15" x 80". They will be white text
on blue banner (as you see). Double sided.

We'd like you all to have the first opportunity to take a pole or
2. There are 38 poles on hwy. 65. The goal is to get them all sold
- along with the bigger community banners - by Vasaloppet 2015.
All on a first come, first served basis.

The larger sized community banners will be up for 3 months at a
time, then switched out for occasions or seasons by the City of
Mora. These larger, community minded banners will cost $150.00
each, but we ask that organizations purchase a minimum of 4 at a
time. We hope that the Mora schools, the City of Mora, & the
Vasaloppet will get on board with these. The 50 smaller banners
along Forest and Downtown will carry the same community designs,
but will cost only $75.00 each.

Yesterday and last night, the Mora EDA and City Council agreed to
help us with the cost of this project so that we could keep the
price of the banners reasonably priced. We can't thank them
enough because otherwise, this couldn't have happened.

I hope that you will agree that this will add life, color,
vibrancy, and will enrich our community.

Please let me know if you are interested in purchasing a banner
(or 2, or 3...). I will be thrilled to come and discuss it all
with you.
