<strong>Secretary’s Report</strong> – Leona Dressel Minutes distributed of the Regular Business Meeting of February 23, 2015 and of the Special Called Meeting held April 22, 2015. Motion by Linda Laitala, seconded by Lynn Olson, to approve the February 23 and the April 22, 2015 Minutes as prepared and issued. Motion carried.<br>
<strong>Treasurer’s Report</strong> – Financial Reports of March 20, 2015 and April 20, 2015<br>
Leona Dressel held discussion on our financial institution now requiring our business account to hold a debit card. Per the discussion with the financial institution, the debit card does not have to be “active”; therefore, the card will remain only on file and will not be utilized (per direction of the DBW membership from previous meeting). Motion by Liane Heupel, seconded by Linda Laitala, to place the financial reports on file for audit. Motion carried.<br>
<strong>State Director Report</strong> – Sharon Prahl, Board of Director. The State Convention held in St. Cloud April 24-25, 2015 – Sharon will report on the Convention next month. The State (MN Federation of Business & Professional Women’s Clubs, Inc.) has made a recommendation to locals that new Board of Directors be elected in May – however – discussion about retaining several BODs for next year should be considered for continuity; possibly two year appointments. This is a local club’s decision. There was consensus to discuss this as part of our review of our club’s By-Laws, as well as discussion at our May 18<sup>th</sup> Meeting.<br>
<strong>Scholarship Committee Report</strong> - (S. Prahl, C. Randt, E. Wissler) Consensus to have the Scholarship Committee review the Club’s scholarship program and consider how to involve other local school districts; item to be placed on the February 2016 agenda. Mora High School provided 11 scholarship applications which will be reviewed by the Committee who will select two student female recipients at $500 each. Mora High School requests their office be informed by May 11<sup>th</sup> of the recipients.<br>
<strong>New Business: </strong><br>
<strong>Girl Friend’s Evening Out</strong>–<em>Fiesta</em> - March 23, 2015<strong> - </strong>report of event. Successful fundraiser for scholarships; proceeds have been deposited into the DBW Savings.<br>
<strong>St. Patrick’s Day Trivia Contest/KBEK</strong> – report by Linda Laitala and Leona Dressel. A DBW Member donated a Freddie’s Gift Certificate as our Club’s Trivia Contest Prize; Linda Laitala recorded a DBW promotional announcement (available for future use).<br>
<strong>Coborn’s Brat Stand, Mora</strong> August 21-22, 2015 (Friday and Saturday) Volunteers needed. Scholarship fundraiser and public relations event. Tabled to May Meeting. <br>
<strong>DBW Meeting April 22, 2015</strong> – report of business items: A) Revision of our Club’s By-laws and B) Pam Mattson fundraiser. (Minutes approved under Secretary’s Report)<br>
<strong>Neighborhood Health Connection</strong> – 2015 Healthy Activity Grant opportunity. Linda Laitala volunteered to connect with Jessica Swan relative to options of the grant and its activities.<br>
<strong>Pine Technical & Community College Foundation – </strong>correspondence received from PTCC Foundation for a request for a donation towards their “Bridging the Future” scholarship program. Motion by Linda Laitala, seconded by Lynn Olson, to provide $500 to PTCC Foundation “Bridging the Future” Scholarship Program for a non-traditional female student. Motion carried.<br>
<strong>Old Business:</strong><br>
<strong>DBW Meeting for May</strong> is <strong>re-scheduled</strong> for the third Monday May 18, 2015 (due to holiday of 5/25<sup>th</sup>)<br>
