MUSIC WITH MORA TIES COMING TO THE PARADISE!!
THE LOWER 48 with performances by Nolan James
and Zak Norton will be at the Paradise Theatre,
Saturday, June 27 at 8 p.m. The Lower 48 is a
three-piece band from Portland, Oregon that
consists of Sarah Parson, Ben Braden and Nick
Sadler. Parson is originally from Mora and met
Braden and Sadler in Minneapolis during her
senior year of high school at the Perpich Center
for the Arts. Their sound is always evolving as
they collectively continue to write and perform.
Their recent tours have been on the West Coast
and their music has been used in several
television shows such a s”Catfish,” “Twisted,”
“The Good Wife,” and in a Super Bowl commercial.
NOLAN JAMES is a solo, instrumental guitarist
who grew up in Mora. Often using a looper while
playing, he creates layers of beats and melodies
using only the guitar. POPPA BEAR NORTON is the
newest musical project of Zak Norton, a Mora
native who has been writing and recording
original music for the better part of 20 years.
Over the years he has written everything from
pop to punk rock, but his latest musical
endeavor has been writing and performing the
music he holds most dear to his heart, classic
country and folk music. TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE in
advance for $5 at Ace Hardware, Paradise Theatre
and First Citizens National Bank in Mora or
tickets can be purchased for $8 at the door.
