to be installed and eventually there will be an exhibit inside with 
information about Mora's depots and the roll the railroad played in the

Sunday Sept. 15 @ 2:30 PM at the Kanabec History  Center
No Admission Charge Donations Appreciated
Lundborg tells the story of his ancestors, Swedish immigrants, who 
settled near present day Sunburg, Minnesota, in the summer of 1861. They 
were an extended family of 21, including Lundborg's great great 
grandparents. The family was pursuing their dream of a new beginning a 
new country with abundant farm land.
Less than a year later, the family was swept up in the US/Dakota Wars. 
Lundborg tells the story of how this conflict changed his family, their 
courage and fortitude as they moved on and began anew.
Paul was raised in Milan, Minnesota and is a retired Lutheran pastor who 
served churches for 37 years. His wife Rose Ann, has Minnesota roots in 
both Greenbush and Montevideo and has a sister living in Mora.Lundborg 
will speak about his book, receive questions, autograph and sell books 
at the program.

_*KHC Looking For Homes to Be on The Christmas Tour of Homes Sat. Dec. 14*_

The Kanabec History Center is looking for people willing to open up 
their homes and show off their Christmas decorations for the Christmas 
Tour of Homes fundraiser.
We need 5 to 6 homes to be on the tour. The homes are open from 10 am to 
4 pm to ticket holders. You do not have to have your whole home open, 
just the rooms that you decorate for the holidays.
The History Center sells tickets and only those with tickets can tour 
the homes. Ticket holders come to the History Center the day of the tour 
for coffee and rolls, pick up tour maps and brochure with brief 
descriptions of each homes decorations. We need to have the tour homes 
lined up by the end of October in order to get all of the materials, 
posters, press releases etc. out in time. Please give us a call if you
