What news!

The board decided this morning to move the race to Lake Mora! A
shortened course on Knife Lake was considered at the safety meeting last
night, but then - if shortened, why not on Lake Mora?! So here we are!

All events will take place downtown and around our very special lake!
Yeah!!!!

All tent activities will go as planned, same with Vasaloppet Trail
Companion at the Paradise.

Sat.
42K starts at 9am (4 times around)
58K starts at 10 (5 times around)
35K starts at 11 (3 times around)
13K and Teamloppet start at noon (2 times around)

FYI:
Sun.
Miniloppet on Lake Mora at noon with Spark races starting at 10:30.
Skijoring still to be determined...

Moraloppet this Sat. will be a walk, up at Nordic Center.

Friendship tour will be a friendly gathering - not a walk or ski. Bring
your skates, we do have a nice Ice Rink! (Thanks to Russ Peters!)
It will begin at 7:00 - Library Park and go for an hour or so. Come and
sign the Friendship tour banner, listen to some fun music, have some hot
chocolate or cappucino (hosted by Family Pathways Youth Services), roast
some marshmallows (or bring some hot dogs!) at our big bonfire (thanks
to Dave Johnstone and to the local Boy Scouts) and learn about
stargazing by our local Astronomical Society. Dress warm - they are
talking about a 11 degree low.

Please let me know if you have any questions. More on the Vasaloppet
website: www.vasaloppet.us and on the Vasaloppet USA Facebook page.

I'm excited!
